Abi has had a long and varied career as an artist and educator. Having studied ‘Environmental Art’ specialising in mural design at AUB, she completed a number of public art projects, and her work can be seen in the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, and a commission on public view for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in the main Bournemouth Library.
Her fine art has received Arts Council Awards and been exhibited all over the country and internationally, with work in Public collections. A monograph was published ‘Abi Kremer, Colour and Inspiration’ and there are colour plates in various publications including ‘Art in Poole and Dorset’, ‘Under the Greenwood, Picturing the British Tree in Art’ and ‘Public Art Catalogue Foundation’ for Dorset. She is a founder member of the Arborealists international art group.
Abi is a lecturer at Southampton University, delivering Art History courses and on the Gallery team at Southampton City Art Gallery where she leads the Art History Study days and practical workshops. She has taught life drawing and portraiture for many years, and drawing at Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.
Her current role at AUB is delivering 'Expressive Life Drawing and Portraiture' for Open Campus with a proposed Level 2 'Art Design and Creative Studies'.
