I started my career as a Typesetter, trained by Linotype in the late 1980s and using a CRTronic 340 which now only features in Typography Memorabilia. I was pleased when my employer supplied me with one of the first desktop processors - a Mac II and I remained in typesetting and graphic design within a corporate Marketing environment for the next 20 years. I began to focus on data and systems and swapped the private sector for public sector education, where I remain to this day. I love working in HE and particularly here at AUB where I have worked since 2012. My main professional interest is in people development, coaching and mentoring. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute which is an inspiring network to be part of.
