Briony Hartley is a graphic designer, typographer and colour consultant. She has a BA (Hons) Typography from the University of Reading. She's also an author and Lecturer at AUB on BA Visual Communication, running design projects and active workshops that aim to teach young designers the core design skills they need to realise their creative ambitions and be ready to start successful design careers.
As a creative professional, Briony has run her own business, Goldust Design, for over 20 years, working mainly within the publishing, arts and cultural sectors. Highlights include designing for Buckingham Palace, the London Olympic Games, the British Library and UK Parliament, plus books for TV shows and celebrities. She is passionate about creative freelancing, and fully understands the art and importance of the designer/client relationship. Previously employed at Farrow & Ball, she's enthusiastic about the power of colour in visual communication, and advises on colour for architectural spaces.
Briony also mentors students on live design projects at AUB.
