Leading on the AUB Innovation Studio. Supporting pre-start-ups to develop prototypes and business plans for sustainability and robustness. Supporting established businesses on collaborative research projects exploring new technology, prototyping and up-skilling. Supporting staff and students to develop entrepreneurial skills and develop their own research projects with economic and social impact. Responsible for overseeing HE-BCI return, KEF and KEC responses. Bid writing and post-award management of Growth Deal Funding (£535k capital project to resource the Innovation Studio ERDF; £2.2 million PA1 Research and Innovation support for SMEs, this project leveraged approximately £500k in match funding from SMEs and supported around 300 enterprises). Also responsible for supporting the Access and Participation team to enable them to deliver their exciting agenda of interventions. Supporting AUB's large non-credit bearing programme of short courses and looking after the Foundation Diploma and International Foundation Awards.
Other initiatives: Developing and managing support and selection process for International Entrepreneurial Visa support; developing and delivering Employability and Entrepreneurship programme; supporting transition of EEW to AUB Advantage; developing and delivering Open Challenge programme with external partners; bid-writing support. Lead on coordinating HE-BCI data, Knowledge Exchange Framework, Knowledge Exchange Concordat. Currently sit on LEP Business and Inward Investment Committee. Industry Secondment Scheme Developed support scheme for academics to go in to industry and work with companies such as ILM, Aardman Animation and Amazon TV.
Exhibitions include: Curator of Creative Exchange Exhibition (December 2017–February 2018), TheGallery, AUB, showcasing and celebrating the range and depth of AUB’s collaborations with external partners. Curator of Creative Exchange II Exhibition (January–March 2020), celebrating the range of our alumni's creative careers. Curator of The Snowman and The Snowdog Touring exhibition, showcasing the story of the classic cartoon and the animation techniques used to create it using original production artwork.
