Ferhat has a background in interior architecture and design. After completing his degree at AUB, he worked for five years in industry in interior architecture. Ferhat than transitioned into education, working as a Design and Technology technician in a secondary school in London for two years.
Ferhat returned to Bournemouth, working at AUB as a Technician Demonstrator for BA (Hons) Architecture and Master of Architecture. He supports students in developing both their technical and creative skills, running sessions in computer-aided design programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Ferhat also demonstrates a range of physical and material modelmaking techniques, helping students produce high-quality, professional work.
Health and safety is a key part of Ferhat’s work. He ensures students understand how to use equipment correctly, work safely in the studio, and maintain good workshop practices. Through a combination of digital guidance and hands-on support, Ferhat helps students grow in confidence and to develop the practical skills they need for architectural practice.
