Jonathan Hoyle

Jon graduated with a degree in Modelmaking for Design and Media in 2003. Since then, he has worked as a freelance modelmaker working in a range of areas including Prop design and manufacture for Film, Production Design for Film and Advertising, Trade show animations and displays, Museum animations and interactive projects and Architectural visualisation and animations.

In 2006 Jon returned to AUB as a Visiting Lecturer working on a variety of courses introducing digital modelling techniques and practices. From 2008 to 2018 Jon has worked with Short courses at AUB writing and delivering a course introducing 3ds Max. In recent years he has worked on the Modelmaking degree delivering a variety of CAD programs, 3d printing and other techniques.

In 2017 Jon joined the Modelmaking team full time as a Technician Demonstrator. In this roll he supports the Academic Delivery on the course, introducing and inducting the students to the wide range of skill sets and tools within Modelmaking, from the use of paints and spray room to 3d printing and laser cutting.
