Trevor Herndon grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where he received his Master’s in English as a Second Language / Creative Writing from the University of Memphis in December 2000. Since that time, he has held a variety of teaching and management roles around the world – from a Mandarin Chinese teacher in Memphis City Schools to an IELTS Lecturer / Coordinator at Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai, China, to positions in the UK working with the University of East Anglia and Bournemouth University. His work in these roles helped him recently attain a Senior Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Trevor is now an English for Academic Purposes Lecturer at Arts University Bournemouth where he supports international students in their academic endeavours.
